NOTICE: The use of Speedboosters/Adapters with middle glass elements and/or electronic contact pins may interfere with the function of certain lenses when focusing to infinity. We recommend using a straight-through adapter without any corrective middle glass or electronic contacts pins.

Buy at your own risk. The Canon FD to LPL conversion system is not a DIY-friendly application and is designed for use only by experienced and professional lens techs. If you have never before serviced or modded a lens, we strongly advise against using this kit. Please note that after-sales technical assistance via Simmod or EDMIKA will be limited. We strongly advise sending your lenses to a Professional Simmod Installer for LPL conversion to be done by a professional (when service to FD's resume). Each kit is NON-REFUNDABLE. EACH KIT IS MADE SPECIFIC FOR EVERY LENS.
Infinity Focus Calibration is REQUIRED with this kit. In order to develop a more robust mount suitable for Cine, we had to make certain parts of the mount thicker so the mount's integrity would withstand high torque motors on focus gears— while at the same time not bending, warping, or ultimately, breaking. Due to this, we recommend that the lens be adjusted to make up for the slight difference in thickness.
A JIS Screwdriver is no longer included. Please select a Tool Option to purchase one if required.

Designed for precision, functionality, and durability, our Brass LPL mounts provide an OEM fitment on any LPL body or Adapter. State-of-the-art CNC machining ensures a tight fit. Each mount is precision cut, knurled, and machined from solid brass. Infinity focus calibration is required.
Aperture Control Options:
Dampened Control Gear (DCG)
In addition to the newly designed mount, we've developed an optional integrated aperture gear, SIMply called the Dampened Control Gear (DCG). DCG allows you to de-click and dampen the aperture on supported FD Breech Lock lenses while providing a 0.8 mod aperture gear for smooth aperture control. Using the DCG system will eliminate any issues caused by iris drift. DCG replaces the native aperture ring on your lens. Each DCG is CNC machined from Delrin and is etched with the exact f/stop markings as the native aperture ring. We strongly recommend the DCG option for all Cine Users.
***Please be advised that FD mounts are custom machined and made to order. You must select the correct lens. Each lens mount requires a unique set of Aperture Control Systems that is specific to every lens.
